The Artist, with his then teen daughter, Dahna (now, his Rep), in 1981, at his surprise 40th birthday celebration at the African American Master Artist in Residence Program at Boston's Northeastern University.
Chandler, who began as an artist-in-residence at Northeastern in 1973, founded AAMARP in 1978 and was its Director until 1993. He remained an artist-in-residence at AAMARP until June 2004. The Program held its 30th anniversary celebration in April, 2008.
